Ever since I was little, I have always been a bit different. I played with the sun, chased the wind and danced in the rain. To me the world was a wonderful, magical place full of things just waiting for me to discover. It still is, and I still do all of the above. I myself am a dragon. In personality, spirit, soul and design. Loyal, fierce, and highly attracted to things that sparkle. It didn't take long for me to figure out I liked to make things that sparkled as much as I liked wearing them. As a dragon, I really, really wanted treasure. As a little girl, that was difficult to get my hands on. So I made my own. Turned out I was pretty good at it. But unlike some dragons, I also liked to share my treasure. Seeing people happy and smiling when they received a gift made me happy too.

It started small with tables in craft shows, tables at garage sales, that kind of thing. As well as stands outside during the summer selling my wares mostly with my mother who is gifted in so very many areas. Then she decided we should do this. Really do this. We were both good at it and at the rate we made things, we really should spread the wealth. She recommended etsy. It was actually her who came up with my store name, a smile on her lips. "Why not DrakonsLair?" she said, "After all, you are a dragon . . .". And that was that. DrakonsLair was born one sunny afternoon surrounded by piles of jewelry. The two of us still do shows, festivals and balls together. Her as a Fairy Queen, me as a Dragon. Together we spread magic, whimsy and fantasy around.
